We The People!

Saturday I caught a ride with three other guys to Albany, New York. Its a 4 hr drive to Das Kapital. I was afraid that due to the short notice and cold blustery weather we would not have a good turn out for the pro 2nd Ammendment Rally. Turns-out I was wrong. There were close to 3,000 really pissed off new yorkers carrying flags and signs just like back in the 60s during the war protest. They were angry but respectful and non-violent. The Police had already told us they supported us and welcomed concealed carry since it was legal. Everyone obeyed and there were no rifles flashing or pistols seen anywhere. How many were carrying concealed? Nobody knows :  ) Think about that Governor you POS.

It lasted three hours and there were a lot of good speakers and a lady who kept the energy going by organizing chants, although that happened spontaneously throughout the event as well. Chants like: Gov. Cuomo must go, Repeal the bill, We will not comply, Freedom, Our Cold dead hands, We the people, and many more. I know it almost sounds juvenile but when you heard that many voices united in one cause it made me choke up with pride for what we were doing and the righteousness of our protest.

The voices of  discontent echoed across the mall in front of the NY Capital and when we said the pledge to the flag I bet you could have heard it 10 blocks away. The speaker reminded us that our hand went over our heart during the pledge not our crotch like our president is wont to do. The crowd roared its disdain for the President in repsonse. Several Law Enforcement officials spoke and said that they too were now criminals for carrying an illegal number of bullets in their pistol magazines. Several Mayors called for nullifying the law, basically ignoring it: refusing to make arrests, refusing to take it to court, and for jurors to refuse to find a guilty verdict.  The law is illegal and unconstitutional. The crowd shook the square with BOOO everytime it was mentioned that Cuomo did this to further his presidential ambitions. The NYS constitution calls for all bills to be available for the legislators to review for 3 days prior to a vote but slimy Obama (oops I meant Cuomo) used an Emergency Order to bypass that and they only had 20 minutes until it was brought to a vote. The vote was party-line for the most part with the majority democrats/progressives pushing it through.

Now we must wait and see who blinks first, who will be the first victim of this rotten bill? There are mulitple lawsuits being filed by many organizations representing the rights of the people, "WE THE PEOPLE!"
